On Thursday, December 29, Cat Shelter Felix was informed about a cat lying on Prozivka in Jo Lajoša on leaves and looking sick. “We asked Erzsebet and volunteers from Subotica Njuškice to check if the cat is at the reported location, but she didn’t show up until 11 last night either,” they wrote at the time.
The next morning, the girl who informed them found her , and at the same moment volunteers from Njuškice also came, she was caught and in agreement with Cat Shelter Felix, they left her in the clinic.
What was established was that the cat was not neutered, refused food, did not have a chip and at that moment was in a very bad condition. His temperature was too low, FIV+, anemic, extremely dehydrated. He received an infusion, they warmed him, he received therapy. That evening, they did not believe that they would find him alive in the morning, he lay like a rag and did not move.
“But several of our rescued cats this year have shown us that miracles do exist, we just have to believe in them , so let’s hope that it will be the same in his case,” said Cat Shelter Felix.
On Monday, January 2, they called with new information about him. As they wrote, he is a little better, he has started to eat, but he is still not very well . He is thin and has an earlobe. What’s most horrible are the wounds and swollen pads on his front paw, all skinned and bloody red.
That’s why they took Patricia’s miraculous ointment for his wounds, so they cleaned it all nicely, smeared it and bandaged it.
We hope he recovers quickly.
Prozivka in IS RECOVERING SLOWER THAN THINK
The latest information is that the puffy guy from Prozivka Rene has been neutered. His paw is much better, but his blood count is still not improving despite all the drugs and supplements. He is FIV+, the asylum knows that all this has an impact, but they thought that recovery and treatment would go a little faster. They don’t know anything about him, neither how old he is, nor how he lived, they only know that they took him almost dead, starving, hypothermic.
“He is in a good mood, he likes to eat, but something is definitely still bothering him. Biochemistry is not bad, there was a little problem with the pancreas and kidneys , but we will solve it somehow”, they wrote.
The great transformation
A few days later he was a little better, he started eating but he was still not very well . What was most horrible were the wounds and swollen pads on his front paw, all skinned and bloody red.
He was castrated and the fight for his recovery lasted and is still going on. As you can see, Rene is the second cat today. He is undergoing therapy, and they are moving on, until life wins. We believe in this wonderful guy!
He BECAME A REAL PUFFY PUPPY
As you can see, Rene is the second cat today. FIV+ cat with pancreas problems, found on the street half dead, with burnt paw pads, was treated for weeks. Now she’s a puffy baby!
