A cat with sores and an injured eye is thankfully rescued when volunteers arrived to spay and neuter other feral cats.!!

Spotted during a campaign of CSRM (capture-sterilization-release-maintenance), Jules was in very bad shape, but that did not prevent him from being affectionate towards his benefactors. They made it a point of honor to help him find the happy life he deserved.

Volunteers from Flatbush Cats , an association based in Brooklyn (New York), were in the midst of capturing and neutering a colony of stray cats when one of them caught their attention. The tabby feline seemed in great pain. He was thin, clearly hungry and dehydrated.

As they approached the animal, they noticed that the right side of its face was covered in sores and it had a damaged eye. The quadruped also had an abscess in the mouth. The organization picked him up without hesitation.

The veterinary examination revealed that this cat was also positive for FeLV (feline leukemogenic virus), responsible for a serious infectious disease. Later, the Flatbush Cats team learned that his injuries were the result of a traffic accident .

Despite all the suffering he had endured, the twink, whom his rescuers called Jules , was overflowing with affection. All he wanted was to give and receive love. He even demanded pats on the head while being examined at the veterinary clinic,

Jules was given anti-inflammatories and painkillers, and received treatment for his eye, among other treatments.

The more time passed, the more his sweet character was expressed, which allowed the cat to be appreciated by everyone at the shelter.

Jules also stood out for his gigantic appetite, the stigma of his wandering life and the deprivation that characterized it. “ Jules will never have to worry about food again, but it will take him a while to figure it out. Food insecurity is a common challenge for former street cats ,” the association said.

“Jules has found a home”

His wounds healed within a few months. He has become a cat full of energy and even more fond of signs of tenderness. ” Jules is difficult to photograph because when you approach, he stands up hoping to catch your attention and receive your petting ,” Flatbush Cats reported .

The latter ended up finding him the perfect family. Jules has, in fact, been adopted, as announced by the association: “ Jules has found a forever home! He wants to thank you for giving him what he needed most […]. Thank you for helping him and so many others enjoy the life they have always deserved. »
