Shadow, a stunning German Shepherd, embraced her role as a surrogate mother when her family introduced a pygmy goat to their household. In no time, a deep bond formed between the two animals, and the young goat found comfort and happiness in her newfound mother.
Just as dogs shower their puppies with kisses to display affection and familiarize them with their scent, Shadow underwent a remarkable transformation into a loving and nurturing mother for her baby goat. She diligently bathed and attended to her little one's needs, providing unwavering care and protection throughout their days together.
Shadow had her own pups before meeting the gentle goat, but after caring for them, she was sterile. Shadow’s family believes he chose to care for the goat because he missed his own children.
