A Heroic Act: Young Boy Braves a 2-Mile Journey Alone to Rescue a Dying Puppy. _dog lovevrs club

One day, a 13-year-old South African from Delft, one of Cape Town’s poorest neighborhoods, walked 2 miles on his own to save his puppy.

He noticed his dog had stopped eating and was having bloody diarrhea, so he took action and went out to find assistance.

He walked two miles into town to an animal rescue that helps care for the community’s dogs and cats. Stöckigt, a member of the rescue organization, said:

“She was frail, and the boy told that he didn’t have enough money to feed her. We told him we’d do everything we could to save her life and find her a new loving home where she could be cared for. We expressed our gratitude to him for bringing her to us for assistance.”

Nanuk, the puppy, was found to be suffering from parvovirus, a fatal illness that she would not have survived if not treated.

Nanuk was visited on a regular basis by other foster kittens from the shelter, which helped to cheer her up.

“I think it’s a combination of the kittens and having one of us by her side the whole time, encouraging and loving her…” According to Stöckigt. Nanuk’s rescuers are looking for a loving forever home for him.

Nanuk would starve to death if she didn’t eat.

Thank God for this young boy’s good heart, which saved her life!

Nanuk is now on the lookout for a forever home!
