A Journey from the Streets to the Coziness of a Sofa: How a ‘Wild’ Stray Cat Transformed His Life Positively.!!

Within a few days, a stray cat’s attitude went from one extreme to the other. Realizing he was in good hands, he ended up trading his initial fear and aggression for a much more confident and jovial posture. With the help of an association, he opened the doors to a bright future.

The team at PuppyKittyNYCity , a New York- based shelter , were both actors and privileged witnesses to the metamorphosis of a cat rescued from the street.

The cat in question was roaming the Bronx before it was discovered by a volunteer named Shane . The latter had brought the quadruped with the tiger coat to the reception structure to have it castrated and treated. Upon arrival, the cat was anything but cooperative.

Extremely fearful and nervous, he didn’t let anyone near him. He distrusted humans and was constantly on guard, hissing and acting hostile towards everyone.

At PuppyKittyNYCity , however, we were far from discouraged. The volunteers knew it was only a matter of time before he changed his mind and realized that they only meant well for him. The sequence of events proved them right… Much faster than they thought, in fact.

The animal relaxed within a few days. ” He decided to get friendly ,” . This boy is a true concentrate of love ”.

The care provided by his benefactors also had something to do with it, especially at the level of his injured tail. As his health improved, Shane became even more outgoing and affectionate.

He was, in fact, given the first name of the person who had taken him in and allowed him to afford a new start.

New home and new friend for life

He who was showing his claws and fangs, now extends his paw to anyone who comes to him to ask for caresses. He loves to play with his toys and gets along wonderfully with his peers. Shane “ enjoys head scratches, playing with fishing rods and hanging out with humans ,” adds Meagan Licari . He also got into the habit of jumping on her desk to take a nap.

2 months after his arrival at the shelter, he was found a loving family. Since his adoption, Shane has been the happiest cat in the world. As happiness never comes alone, his adopters welcomed another feline, called Mr. Gus and with whom he quickly became friends.
