There are many warnings and complaints that thousands of rescuers have made against dog farms in China. Many places are in charge of taking puppies from the street or even raising them to end up taking them to the slaughterhouse and selling their meat.
Every year difficult rescue operations are coordinated but there are still thousands of furry ones affected. One of them is a Belgian Shepherd mix dog named Angel.
The dog was rescued by a group of activists when it was being transferred along with another dozen dogs to go to a slaughterhouse in Changchun. She had suffered terrible injuries, but she was extremely sweet and seemed so relieved to be in a safe place .
A couple of months later she was adopted by Hollie Cornes and started a new life. Hollie works as a military doggie trainer so she has a lot of experience with furry ones.
However, when he met Angel, he was heartbroken to see all the damage that had been done to a completely innocent being . The young woman began to publish photos of her dog through her social networks and before she knew it, her furry girl had already formed a huge network of followers willing to do anything to help her.
Angel seemed to lead a healthy life, but he was having increasing trouble breathing. She had undergone an operation in Beijing before being adopted by Hollie but over the months she developed many complications again.
“I was told that her nose injury was caused by the horrible tools they use to capture and control puppies,” Hollie said.
The situation with his nose was really delicate and dealing with a problem like that would be too expensive. To begin with, the dog had to be given a tomography of almost 3 thousand dollars.
“A woman from Instagram sent the money right away and we couldn’t believe it ,” Hollie explained.
Angel only had half of his nose to breathe , but tests showed that part of that nostril was clogged with misplaced scar tissue .
“It was not a matter of aesthetics. Angel deserved to lead a more comfortable and healthy life ,” Hollie said.
Really, the dog only had a 2-millimeter hole to breathe. In addition to her, she was constantly bleeding from her wound and this made everyday life very uncomfortable for her.
“When we realized how hard it was for her to breathe, we knew we had no choice but to have surgery ,” Hollie said.
The sweet dog managed to raise the necessary funds through a GoFundMe campaign. The story of her difficult past had moved too many people and they all decided to add a grain of sand to help her lead a better life and enjoy her adventures with her mother to the fullest.
We celebrate in style how much Angel’s life has changed. This is the happy ending that all puppies deserve. Share!
