Captivating New Photos Showcase the Timeless Beauty of a Baby with Down Syndrome
Eliza, an eight-month-old baby, and Jorja, a fourteen-month-old toddler, graciously participated in this heartwarming photoshoot, aiming to raise awareness and funds for the Down's Syndrome Association. The initiative was organized by dedicated midwives in Leicestershire, who bravely joined the photo session as well. Their purpose was to showcase that there is no need to conceal anything about Down's Syndrome, and their commitment to this mission shines through in these captivating photographs.
Down's Syndrome is caused by the presence of an additional chromosome, resulting in individuals having 47 chromosomes instead of the typical 46. This genetic condition can impact the development of their bodies. The syndrome is named after the distinguished British physician, Dr. John Langdon Down, who comprehensively documented the condition in 1866.
"Myself and the rest of the midwife clinic staff had the privilege of spending a day with the renowned Jules Photography, known for their award-winning work."
"Our intention was to create a captivating calendar photoshoot to support the Down's Syndrome awareness charity."
