Chairman David Beckham is truly great!

Chairman David Beckham doesn't always need to showcase luxury cars or flaunt his physique and fancy dance moves. All he needs to do is bring Lionel Messi on board and double the value of the Inter Miami club, leaving the world in awe.

During his playing days, Beckham was solely known for his football skills and nothing else. However, since marrying Victoria, who has a knack for making money from seemingly trivial things like underwear or lackluster soccer leagues that pale in comparison to America's love for baseball or basketball.

Under the guidance of his supportive wife, Beckham shifted his focus from his hair and attire to cultivating the image of a refined English gentleman. Taking advantage of an incident where he was kicked in the head by a coach, Beckham promptly left Manchester United and moved to Real Madrid to both earn a fortune and join the ranks of the "Galacticos," the world's top players at the time.

And when he felt his muscles loosening and his tendons weakening, Beckham promptly flew across the Atlantic to join LA Galaxy in the MLS, a league that may sound amateurish despite the "professional" tag. No worries, Beckham saw this as an untapped fertile land and began to "dig his own little garden."

During his 5 years there, Beckham earned $255 million from football, becoming an inspiring superstar for the league, promoting the glamor of MLS worldwide, and attracting numerous "big names" from Europe who came to play and enjoy their retirement.

As a star, he took on the additional role of a brand ambassador. It's hard to keep track of how many advertisements Beckham became a familiar face in, but the most prominent and lucrative one was with the multi-level marketing company Herbalife.

However, that was not enough for Beckham's appetites. Owning an MLS club based in the land of wealth and glamour, Miami, became the key to Beckham's status as a chairman. Of course, Becks wasn't foolish enough to put all his eggs in one basket and endure the pain and loneliness.

Beckham pooled resources with three or four other investors to officially acquire the commercial rights of an expansion club to be admitted into the MLS for $25 million. It's worth noting that Beckham had the consent of LA Galaxy for this move, as an agreement had been made in his contract when he joined the club in 2007.

Thus, a new member of the MLS in the Eastern region, Inter Miami, was conceived and developed. After several delays, on March 1, 2020, Inter Miami played its first match, losing 0-1 to the home team, Los Angeles FC. Naturally, Beckham assumed the role of the club's chairman.

Chairman Beckham is eager to enhance the reputation of the club and turn it into a cash cow as quickly as possible. But how? Is he going to keep circling around and poach "over-the-hill" players from the Premier League like Wayne Rooney? No, Beckham decided to go big: he attempted to recruit Lionel Messi, who had just turned his back on Barcelona in 2021.

However, Beckham's money is no match for the Qatari Investment Fund, and Inter Miami's reputation pales in comparison to PSG. A one-year-old club attempting to sign a seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is truly a "frog dreaming of eating swan meat." Naturally, Messi chose to wear the PSG jersey in June this year.

Last night, the "swan Messi" excitedly announced his move to Inter Miami under Chairman Beckham, and both parties have signed a comprehensive and confidential contract. Now Messi has fulfilled his American dream, leaving the fossil fuel billionaires in the desert to sit still.

Messi's move to the MLS is the most significant upcoming transfer for the league since... David Beckham himself.
