It all began in 2017 when Kathleen and her partner embarked on the journey of adopting a child and started the necessary procedures.
In 2020, the possibility of adoption resurfaced, but the couple had already separated, and Kathleen found herself facing the decision alone.
Though apprehensive about taking on the responsibility of raising a baby by herself, she couldn't shake off the feeling of longing for the child she had previously declined. Therefore, when she received the news in January 2020 that she had been chosen as a potential adoptive mother by a woman who wished to give her birth daughter up for adoption, Kathleen immediately embraced the opportunity.
A few months later, Kathleen became an official mother to little Rosy, who was born addicted to substances, leading to her admission to the hospital for a comprehensive plan to address her withdrawal symptoms.
"When the little one was discharged from the hospital, our true journey began," Kathleen fondly recalls. Raising a child on her own was no easy task, especially with Rosy's frequent need for medical attention. However, with unwavering determination, Kathleen managed to navigate through the challenges.
At around five months of age, Kathleen began witnessing significant improvements in her daughter's development. Rosy started crawling, uttering her first cries, exploring solid foods, and engaging in social interactions just like other children her age.
It hadn't been long since Kathleen had found her rhythm with her daughter when she received an unexpected phone call from Rosy's biological mother. She revealed that she was pregnant once again and asked Kathleen if she would consider adopting her second child as well.
Kathleen accepted iммediately and soon found herself raising two wonderful little sisters. Although she is only 24 years old, she is doing great and doing her Ƅest for her girls. With the help of her relatiʋes and friends, the two little girls haʋe found a real faмily that giʋes theм all their loʋe.
Meanwhile, Kathleen мarried her Ƅest friend, and they started a wonderful and loʋing faмily. “Kathleen’s work is difficult, Ƅut I haʋe neʋer seen her мore dedicated to soмething,” says her faмily. “She is a fantastic мoм, and her daughters are ʋery happy.”
