Emergency First Aid: The dogs were rescued from the gathering point before being slaughtered

On a blazing hot day in July, animal rescue workers from the Humane Society of the United States visited a dog meat farm in South Korea and found a pitiable pooch named Emily. Sadly, Emily was trapped in an unsanitary cage, with no company except for her despair. Due to standing on a wire floor, her paws were afflicted with swelling, rawness, and excruciating pain.

Emily was in a pitiful state, with sparse hair and a severe case of untreated mange that was only worsening with time. Her life had been nothing but misery, and things were about to take an even darker turn as she was on the verge of being slaughtered. However, a ray of hope shone through as rescuers arrived just in time to save her from this nightmare. Not only did they save Emily, but they also managed to rescue over 130 dogs that were being held captive at the same meat farm.

Emily was taken to an animal hospital in a hurry, where she underwent a thorough check-up and received the necessary treatment for her health conditions. Currently, her appearance is nothing like before, it’s simply amazing! With treatment for mange, her hair has grown back beautifully.

Emily is currently residing in Florida with her new family and absolutely loving every second of it. With a spacious backyard at her disposal, she can run around freely without any worries of being cooped up in a crate. Additionally, she has made some new furry companions and is incredibly amicable and charming towards them.

All thanks to the HSUS, Emily finally knows what it feels like to give and receive love. She no longer has to endure living in a cramped cage and now gets to indulge in a cozy bed, nutritious food, and an array of toys. Every four-legged friend deserves to experience such a wonderful life!

Regrettably, the particular dog meat farm Emily visited is not the sole establishment of its kind.

In South Korea, dogs are unfortunately bred for human consumption, with numerous farms scattered throughout the nation. Nevertheless, the HSUS is determined to persist in their efforts to close down every single one of these farms!
