Ever since Diz was a little pup, she has been inseparable from her dad, and their bond has always remained strong. When her dad got married, Diz quickly warmed up to her new mom and developed an affectionate connection with her too. Nowadays, Diz is particularly attached to her mom and constantly keeps an eye on her to ensure that she’s content and secure.
Brittany Johnson, Diz’s loving mom, shared, “Diz has always been incredibly defensive of me, especially when my partner isn’t around.”
Sometime back, Diz’s folks broke the news to her that they were expecting a baby. Initially, Diz was aware but wasn’t perturbed by it. Johnson, her mom, said that in the beginning, Diz used to snuggle up against her belly, but as days passed, she seemed to lose interest.
Not too long ago, there was a shift in Diz’s behavior. Out of nowhere, she felt like she had to stick to her mom like glue all the time. It was almost like she switched to big sister mode and felt the need to be present wherever her mom and the upcoming baby were, just in case they required anything. No matter what happened, she refused to take her gaze off her mom.
One day, Johnson was taking a shower while Diz kept a watchful eye just outside the shower. After a while, the anxious dog felt that her mom was in there for too long…
The woman decided to share her shower with her pet, as the latter followed her into the bathroom and sat there until she was done. It seems like the pet did not want to leave her mom alone for too long, hence took the initiative to join her in the shower.
At the moment, Johnson is 20 weeks pregnant and soon, Diz will have a new addition to the family. However, until then, Diz is determined to become the best big sister possible by taking care of her mother all day long in anticipation of the baby’s arrival. According to Johnson, Diz keeps a close watch on her at all times because she fears something might happen if she isn’t constantly supervised.
