The furry boy lives in the community of São Gabriel do Oeste, 140 kilometers from Campo Grande, Brazil, under the care of a negligent and abusive owner. A neighbor decided to report what was happening to the little creature, after seeing its deplorable condition.
His manager treats him as something less than an object and doesn’t care about him, leaving him completely abandoned. The puppy is malnourished and has serious skin problems.
In light of the boy’s unfortunate condition, the Military Environmental Police, who received a complaint, launched an investigation into the boy’s owner for charges of neglect and animal abuse.
After a checkup, the vets determined that the creature had not only been neglected but was receiving physical abuse.
Old lesions on his skin confirmed this, in addition to the behavior of the creature that betrayed the terror he felt of being attacked again.
The owner of the furry was placed under the care of the São Gabriel do Oeste Civil Police Station and faces the possibility of losing up to five years of his life behind bars.
Depending on the sentence received, in addition to imprisonment, the man can also be ordered to pay up to R1,000 in fine, which is equivalent to about $200.
