Heartwarming Photos: Triplets' Delightful Adventures Inside a Giant Watermelon
LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) – Amidst the realm of charming infant photographs, there exist those rare captures that transcend cuteness when the little ones find themselves nestled within the depths of an enormous fruit (or vegetable, depending on who you ask).
In the town of Lumberton, a resident named Martin Davis recently immortalized his triplets – Michael, Macie, and Mathieu – as they cozily sat inside a colossal watermelon weighing a whopping 175 pounds. Assisting in the orchestration of this remarkable photo shoot on August 5th was the triplets’ mother, Vickie Jones. Davis shared that he used to cultivate sizable watermelons but had discontinued the practice for nearly eight or nine years. However, upon learning that he was soon to be blessed with children, an unexpected surge of motivation propelled him to revive his erstwhile hobby. Remarkably, Davis stated that his children were all born on March 28th, their deliveries transpiring within a span of mere minutes. It was at the advent of April that the watermelons were planted, heralding the inception of this delightful venture.
The one used for the photo is the largest Davis has ever grown. He said he first weighed it on a bathroom scale before taking it to a certified one to verify the gargantuan crop’s 175-pound weight.
