Introducing Xaylen Asher Richard, a joyful 19-month-old toddler who his mother affectionately describes as a “cheerful bowling ball.”

Salitza Richard, a 31-year-old resident of Dallas, Texas, has been concerned about her youngest son's rapid growth since birth. At just six months old, he was already fitting into clothing meant for 12-18-month-olds, and now, at 19 months old, he weighs over 2 stone (28 pounds). This remarkable growth has led him to share clothes with his four-year-old brother, Judah, despite starting as an average eight-pound baby at birth.

Salitza, who works as an athlete trainer, jokes that her son's substantial size and delayed walking milestones have unintentionally contributed to her having a significantly more developed bicep.

Xaylen's impressive size has not gone unnoticed, as he has already been scouted for sports teams. Salitza anticipates that he will be tall when he gets older.

Reflecting on her son's growth, Salitza recalls how astonishingly fast it occurred, with him consistently measuring above the 100th percentile every time they visited the doctor.

‘People will ask how we had such a big 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦, and we’re so tiny. I am 5’4 and мy husband is 5’9, we already know he will definitely be taller than us.

‘It was hilarious the first tiмe we went to the doctor when he had his two-week check-up. She asked us if we were sure we had the right 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 as he always looked older for his age.

‘I was concerned for his health as I wondered if it was healthy for 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 to be as fat as he was, and she said everything was perfect.

The mother affectionately described him as a 'bowling ball' and humorously remarked that he had improved her biceps.

She said, "I have an older son who was completely opposite; he was always in the lower percentile. My older son, Judah, is four years old, and Xaylen is just over a year old, yet they now wear the same size clothes.

"The rate at which he is growing is astonishing. I had kept clothes from when Judah was younger, which Xaylen started wearing, but he's been growing so fast that I constantly have to keep going up a size and switching clothes so often."

"They can already share clothes," Salitza mentioned.

"People always think he's older than he is," she added.

Salitza recalled how her son's growth has been remarkable since he was just a month old. At one month, he was already wearing clothes meant for three to six months old. By three months, he was fitting into six to nine-month-old clothes, and at six months, he was wearing clothes meant for 18-month-olds. Now, at almost three years old, he's already pushing the size of clothing appropriate for his age.

She believes that her son's size might have delayed his ability to walk, but now that he has learned to run around, he is loving it. Xaylen currently weighs 31 pounds, and his older brother, Judah, weighs 32 pounds.

While Xaylen's size initially made it challenging for Salitza to carry him, she noticed a significant improvement in her bicep strength due to the task. However, she was relieved when he finally started walking recently, as it made outings easier. Xaylen's walking milestone was a significant development for him, as he had started walking at 18 months, whereas Judah had begun at 10 months. Salitza believes that his size may have caused some delays in reaching certain milestones.

The transition to walking was sudden and impressive for Xaylen; he took a few steps one day, and just a few days later, he was already running around with excitement.

Despite the age difference, Xaylen can fit into his four-year-old brother's clothes, showcasing his remarkable size.

Salitza describes him as a happy "bowling ball" who doesn't easily get hurt, even when he runs over his older brother, Judah, who is the one to cry in such situations. Xaylen's contentment is evident in his easygoing nature, especially when it comes to food. He happily eats his own meal and then proceeds to finish whatever Judah leaves behind, displaying a hearty appetite and lack of pickiness.

People who encounter Xaylen for the first time often comment on his size, considering him a "big baby," which surprises Salitza's friends and everyone else who knew their first child to be small. Salitza agrees with these remarks and admits to being equally shocked, but she takes it all in stride, embracing the differences between her two children and enjoying the unique experience.

Xaylen's size has even caused amusing incidents, like when they were going on holiday and got questioned about his age for a plane ticket. He appeared much older than he actually was, and they were asked to buy him a seat due to his significant size.

Due to his stature and happy disposition, Xaylen has already been recognized as a potential future athlete, particularly for American football, where his qualities would be ideal.

Salitza and her husband are in awe of the size of their son, Xaylen.

Salitza shared, "My husband works with NFL athletes, and people are already suggesting that we should start trialing him and get him on the team now."

She added, "I also work with a lot of high schools, and they are expressing their interest in having him as a player on their teams. Xaylen has already been scouted; it's quite amusing."
