Striker Kylian Mbappe has just received a massive offer from Al-Hilal, with a salary twice the amount used to buy back Newcastle. Mbappe's future is currently a hot topic, and recently, Al-Hilal has proposed a transfer contract worth 300 million euros to acquire him from PSG.
This would make Mbappe the most expensive transfer in history, surpassing Neymar's move to PSG in 2017 for 222 million euros. Notably, Mbappe already holds the second most expensive transfer record when he joined PSG from Monaco for 180 million euros.
In addition, the Saudi Arabian club is ready to offer him a salary of 700 million euros per season. This salary is double the amount that the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) used to buy back Newcastle in 2021. Back then, the Premier League club was sold for 305 million pounds (approximately 365 million euros).
This shows the staggering offer that Al-Hilal has made to Mbappe, and it's no surprise that PSG immediately agreed.
The Parisian club was unable to persuade Mbappe to renew his contract, so they decided to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free next year.
In fact, the offer from Al-Hilal is worth considering for Mbappe. The club only wants him to sign a one-year contract. After that, the French forward can join Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 as he desires.
However, according to Relevo, Mbappe has rejected Al-Hilal's offer. He does not want to join a less prestigious league like the Saudi Pro League and would rather spend the entire season on the PSG bench.
