Only when you are sick do you know who your soulmate is, your friend

Canine companions are highly intelligent creatures that can be taught various skills such as guiding, rescuing, searching for criminals, and serving as assistance dogs. Training these furry friends can lead them to perform remarkable feats, like saving their owner’s life. A heartwarming viral photo has gone viral, featuring Ruby, a service dog, snuggled up next to her unwell owner in a hospital room, exemplifying the unwavering love and loyalty of our four-legged friends in real-life scenarios.

Shauna Darcy shared on her Facebook account that she has an amazing companion named Ruby. Ruby is not just any service dog, but a true friend to Shauna. They have built a special bond that is beyond the typical owner-dog connection. Ruby is always by Shauna’s side, providing assistance even when Shauna doesn’t realize she needs it. With Ruby’s help, Shauna can control her heart rate and blood pressure, and overcome panic attacks. Their friendship is truly remarkable.

Shauna Darcy shared on Facebook that her beloved dog, Ruby, had been alerting her about something wrong with her health since last week. Despite feeling fine, Shauna trusted her furry companion and called an ambulance. It was a good decision as it turned out that Shauna’s heart was going into atrial fibrillation, and she was barely conscious when the paramedics arrived. Ruby ended up saving her life. Shauna was rushed to the emergency room where doctors worked to stabilize her condition. Throughout her stay in the hospital, Ruby refused to leave her side and was often seen laying in Shauna’s hospital bed, hoping to make her feel safe.

Shauna and Ruby have become quite the celebrity duo due to their heartwarming story. People have been touched by Ruby’s selfless actions and have even made a point to visit them. Ruby has been instrumental in helping Shauna battle her anxiety, depression, and agoraphobia since they first met in 2015. The bond between these two was instant, and Ruby has been able to detect Shauna’s cardiac issues, which led to the diagnosis of a rare heart condition called vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Shauna’s life would be drastically different without Ruby’s presence and support.

According to Shauna Darcy’s Facebook post, during her service dog’s training, she noticed that the dog could sense changes in her heart rate and would behave in unusual ways, such as pawing at her, trying to get her attention, or even getting on top of her.

Shauna Darcy shared on Facebook that her faithful canine companion, Ruby, dutifully keeps track of her blood pressure and heart rate every day. This loyal dog has remained by her owner’s side without fail. Let’s spread the word about this heartwarming story by sharing it with our loved ones. H/T: The Dodo.
