The reports were grim—heartless individuals were mercilessly targeting these innocent creatures, inflicting pain and suffering upon them.
The echoes of gunshots and the anguished cries of dogs reverberated through the air, leaving us bewildered and desperate for a solution.
Amidst the absence of recent conflict, the presence of such violence and brutality shook us to our core. The sight of this wounded dog, whom we later named RAFIKI, brought both relief and concern.
We rushed him to the nearest veterinarian, where the extent of his injuries became evident. The harrowing video evidence confirmed that he had been shot, a cruel act that had threatened his very existence. However, fortune smiled upon him, as he miraculously survived the ordeal.
With RAFIKI’s safety now secured within the confines of a pension, our focus shifted towards finding him a loving home. The dangers of the streets and the cruelty of heartless individuals were now behind him. Although hunters had sought to rob him of his life, their malicious intentions were thwarted. RAFIKI had been given a second chance, a lifeline of hope.
Thirty days later, a joyous announcement resonated through our hearts. RAFIKI, our resilient and beloved companion, had found his forever home in England. Circumstances dictated that he had to leave us, for in his country of birth, he was deemed unwanted. Yet, his love and intelligence found solace in a land where they were cherished and celebrated.
The journey towards healing his traumas and overcoming his fear of people would be aided by compassionate souls who recognized his worth.
