Our hearts are always broken for any dog that has been abandoned.
However, in this case, it hurt our hearts since it was a mother dog that had been abandoned with her puppies.
It occurred in Serbia, but now they have a chance to move on with their lives due to the Dog Rescue Shelter in Mladenovac, Serbia.
The dog, like any good mother, was protecting one of her pups by keeping it in her jaws.
They could see she was upset, but the dogs were also in desperate need of medical attention.
Dehydration had set in and the dogs were starving yet when their saviour arrived, the only thing he could see were the “sad and terrified eyes” of the mother dog.
It didn’t take long for the mother to trust him with her puppies, and he rescued each of them, kissing them to indicate how much he cared.
It’s always heartwarming to watch a mother and her pups given a second chance at life.
