In his early days as a puppy, Odin faced a traumatic incident when an explosive device attached to one of his paws detonated, resulting in the loss of his teeth, a portion of his paw, and part of his snout.

Fortunately, Odin was rescued just in time, and with proper care and attention, he was able to make a remarkable recovery.

After spending three long years in a shelter alongside other animals, the resilient puppy named Odin finally found his forever home when he was adopted by his loving owner, Claiciene.

"In Viking mythology, Odin, the supreme chief of Asgard, was revered as the god of wisdom, magic, poetry, and war. With his remarkable strength and life story, it was only fitting to bestow upon him the name Odin.

Upon adopting Odin, I knew that our journey would involve advocating for inclusion and raising awareness about mistreatment. I believe he guides me in this battle, as well as others who become aware of its existence," states Claiciene Costa Kobayashi, a dedicated businesswoman who traveled from Santa Bárbara d’Oeste to São José dos Campos to adopt Odin. Today, their family resides in Paraty, along the beautiful coast of Rio de Janeiro.

Now, Odin's inspiring story has touched the hearts of many, as evidenced by his growing Instagram following of over 10K devoted followers. People from all walks of life continue to fall in love with Odin and find solace in his journey.

Odin’s owner wants to spread the message about animals that are constantly neglected in animal shelters

Claiciene alerts readers to the fact that, in shelters, some groups of animals are constantly neglected and spend years, if not their entire lives, without being chosen. “These animals are the elderly, adults, and the disabled.

That’s why my goal today is to make people aware of this type of adoption and, mainly, about responsible adoption. Adoption cannot be guided by the physical characteristics of the animal, but by the positive impact of living with these very special beings. It feels like drying ice most of the time, but we can’t give up hope.”

It’s refreshing to see Odin living a happy life after his accident
