The dog bowed his head to thank the person who saved his life, he was left on the side of the highway by his former owner in a state of paralysis and hunger.

Angela Laurella, a police officer, received a call about two dogs that were tied to poles on a street with no exit in Pompano, Florida. Since there were no security cameras in the vicinity, nobody could tell for how long the dogs had been left there or by whom they had been abandoned. However, Officer Laurella knew that the sweltering heat, which surpassed 100 degrees, meant that time was of the essence.

As she hurried towards the scene, she stumbled upon a feeble grey canine that was clutching onto a pole with all its might, barely managing to budge. According to Amy Roman, the head of 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida, “I found him tethered to the pole with a leash that was way too short. He was extremely thin, parched, and his bones were sticking out.”

Liam, a dog that was found by Officer Laurella, revealed his desire for companionship by placing his paw in the officer’s hand and bowing his head. According to Roman, who took Liam in after Officer Laurella sought help from 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida, the dog seemed to be saying, “Please help me get out of here,” as he cowered and gave his paw to the officer. Despite the rescue being overcrowded, Roman was happy to take Liam, who needed special care due to his difficult past. After several visits to the vet, Liam is now recovering at Roman’s home and regaining his strength while enjoying better food than he has ever had before. To see the rescue of Liam, you can watch the video provided.

According to Roman, Liam is showered with love and attention. His body has become accustomed to being fed regularly every hour. Volunteers are preparing boiled chicken and rice for him, and he’s thoroughly enjoying his time with them. Although Liam still has several vet appointments to go to, he’s a ray of sunshine ever since his rescue. He loves everyone and doesn’t have any aggressive tendencies despite everything he’s been through. Liam is just one of the many animals in Florida that are either abandoned or surrendered by their owners.

The author suggests that pet owners should seek help from shelters and rescues before giving up on their pets, especially since many shelters are already full. The dog named Liam is an example of how every animal deserves a second chance, as he continues to reach out to people and show that he is ready for a loving home. The author believes that dogs like Liam can teach humans valuable lessons and restore faith in humanity.
