Lucky cat Kite, who miraculously escaped from a garbage disposal two years ago, lives surrounded by care – he even found a girlfriend.
A cat with a difficult fate found his Best Owners and now bathes in love and care.
“Pig in a poke” is now not just a phraseological unit, the expression has its own meaning. In December 2020, in Ulyanovsk, a cat was rescued at a waste sorting complex for the treatment of municipal solid waste, which was cruelly thrown not just into the street, but sent to certain death. The fluffy poor fellow was wrapped in a bag, which was tied up for safety, and sent to the trash.
Rescuing the cat can only be called a miracle – on the moving pre-sorting belt, the operator took the bag in his hands and felt something soft in it. He opened it and was stunned – two eyes looked at the man. Even the operator’s heart ached, but the owners … Such cruelty, with which they acted, does not fit in their heads.
Of course, it was not possible to find out how the cat got into the bag and who so brutally decided to part with the pet. However, from that moment to this day, he is surrounded by care and love.
“KP – Ulyanovsk” found out how the cat lives two years after all this terrible story. And immediately a small teaser – he has already managed to work as a deputy minister of nature and become the star of a TV show!
“As soon as we had Kite, we immediately realized: this is what we lacked,” says Olga.
A HIGH POSITION AND IMPORTANT RESPONSIBILITIES
On December 21, the cat was rescued and immediately taken to the Ministry of Nature and Circular Economy of the region – the whole team was in favor of such a new colleague.
– Before his appearance, we sometimes joked – we needed a cat, since we are located on the territory of the arboretum, and we have all kinds of living creatures here. Mice, for example, sometimes ran around, – says the current full owner of the cat and, concurrently, press secretary of the Ministry Olga Legotina.

And soon the caudate himself chose a name for himself. The Ministry arranged a competition for the best nickname. They received more than 20 variants of names, among which were Mishka (in honor of his savior Mikhail Tukash), Lucky, Phoenix and even Garbage.
The employees of the Ministry wrote out all the names on pieces of paper and hung them on a rope. The cat chose the name himself, pointing his paw and muzzle at the name Kite.

Kite’s FIRST “MEW” was instantly loved by everyone. Quiet, non-conflict, calm, moderately playful.
– Everyone wanted to feed him, but I responsibly watched not to overfeed. And so someone in the morning will bring milk or sour cream, all sorts of goodies. They pampered as best they could. The cat could enter absolutely any office. People might not even know it themselves. There were funny cases when, for example, a person was sitting, for example, working for an hour and then he heard a sound – it was Kite who was sleeping on the system unit all the time and now he decided to stretch, – says Olga.

And then Olga, the cat and the man who saved Kite during the sorting, were invited to the “Saw the Video” program on Channel One. At first, the girl refused the trip for a long time, because she was not ready for such fame, but in the end she decided. It was March 2021.
– Then I took the cat to myself for a couple of days, then we left, and when we returned, I brought him to the Ministry. And in the evening I’m going to go home and I understand that I can’t let him go. We became very attached to each other. At that moment, Kite just said his first “Meow”, looking straight into his eyes. I could no longer leave him and took him, – says Olga.
By the way, in the Ministry, the cat lived almost all the time at the girl’s workplace – he warmed her chair, typed on the keyboard, walked around the table. So it was clearly love at first sight.

RELIABLE AND VERY CARING HANDS
Olga took care of Kite’s health. It turned out that he was about three years old. And he also had a disease associated with the urinary system. But that doesn’t stop him from being a playful, cheerful cat. Unless you have to sit on “proper nutrition”, which the owners do not skimp on – they buy the kind of food they need. Even the vet laughs – the cat eats better than some people. And therefore – the coat is shiny, and the cat has recovered, and feels great. Which once again proves that Kite has finally fallen into reliable and caring hands.
– The son and husband accepted it easily, although she had never had animals before. To be honest, I didn’t like cats myself – I didn’t like them, and that’s it. And this cat completely changed my mind. And I even took myself another cat, which we had near the store lived. Her owner died, and she, along with another cat, was thrown out into the street. Here, I picked it up, treated it. And now we have a whole cat family at home, – smiles Olga.

“REAL CAT”
Kite loves to sleep at the feet of the hostess, on bar stools, on window sills and even on books. His furry girlfriend is always willing to keep company in this matter. And the main thing is that despite the stress he experienced, Kite did not lose his love for life, his optimism and cheerful disposition.
“He is just such a good, cheerful real cat,” the hostess laughs.
Kate got a girlfriend. She was thrown out into the street after the death of the mistress.
And this real cat has a couple of important responsibilities at home. For example, he makes sure that the child does all the lessons. He loves to steal slippers and hide in boxes. But to the packages, by the way, Kite is indifferent and even afraid of them. Perhaps the past is making itself felt…
– As soon as Kite appeared with us, we immediately realized: that’s what we lacked. Here is this puzzle, lacking comfort and warmth for real family happiness. He gives us all this. He is waiting for us home, loves and is infinitely grateful that we accepted him into our family and take care of him. The phrase “Responsible for those who have been tamed” sparkled with new colors. I think that absolutely every person should feel it in his life. This is what we felt. The cat is with us, I hope, for life, and we will please each other for a long time, – says Olga.
