"Trent Alexander-Arnold Shares Heartfelt Message for Departing Liverpool Captain Jordan Henderson"
Trent Alexander-Arnold has written a public farewell letter to Jordan Henderson following the captain’s departure from Anfield to Saudi Arabia.
Before leaving for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq, Trent Alexander-Arnold sent an emotional farewell missive to Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.

Henderson was reportedly promised a ridiculous £700,000 per week salary to join Al-Ittifaq, managed by his former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard. Fabinho, his longtime teammate at Liverpool, is also poised to move to the Middle East, having agreed to terms with Saudi champions Al-Ittihad.
Al-Ettifaq will pay approximately £13 million for Henderson, whose trophy-laden 12 years on Merseyside have terminated. The 33-year-old won eight trophies with the club, including the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League the following season.
Henderson, who joined Liverpool from Sunderland in 2011, has racked up 492 appearances for the Reds in their recent successes. Not only did he play with Alexander-Arnold for his club, but also for England at the international level.
Indeed, Henderson helped give Alexander-Arnold the flexibility to play his natural game by bombing down the right flank. The midfielder frequently dropped into the space behind the charging fullback, and the two developed a strong rapport.
Thursday, Alexander-Arnold posted, “Skipper, where do I begin? The only constant in my career since its inception. My journey through Liverpool and England has been shared with me since day one. I will always cherish having shared every dressing room with you.

Following your lead ensured I was always on the correct path, as you were a constant source of inspiration and the ideal role model. You have done more for me on and off the field than you will ever realize, and I will never be able to recompense you.
“I will be eternally grateful for the help you’ve given me to mature and become a stronger player. Together, we’ve shared some of the greatest moments of our lives and accomplished things we could only have imagined as children. Here’s to the memories we’ve created together. “Many thanks for everything, captain.”
The midfield of Liverpool has been decimated by player departures, with Henderson and now Fabinho following in the footsteps of Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and James Milner, who all departed as free agents at the conclusion of their contracts.
Alexis MacAllister and Dominik Szoboszlai were acquired from Brighton and RB Leipzig, respectively, but the club is likely to recruit two more defensive-minded midfielders. Romeo Lavia of Southampton is their top priority, while Amrabat is also on their list of sought individuals.
