Remarkable Achievement: 66-Year-Old Woman in India Breaks World Record, Gives Birth to Triplets

In a truly extraordinary feat, a 66-year-old woman residing in India has defied all expectations by giving birth to triplets after 44 years of marriage without children. This remarkable milestone potentially establishes her as the oldest woman worldwide to have delivered triplets.

Bhateri Devi, who underwent artificial insemination at the National Insemination Center in Hisar, Haryana state, successfully conceived and gave birth to two boys and a girl. However, due to their low birth weight, ranging from 800 grams to 1.2 kilograms, all three infants require intensive care, as noted by the attending doctors.

Dr. Anurag Bishnoi, who closely monitored the entire process, shared that the birth certificate issued by a prominent hospital in Rohtak district validates Bhateri Devi's date of birth as May 21, 1944. This documentation solidifies her current status as the world's oldest woman to have given birth to triplets.

Dr. Bishnoi further revealed that Bhateri Devi achieved pregnancy after three attempts at artificial insemination. The initial two attempts involved the implantation of two embryos during each cycle. However, the third attempt proved successful with the implantation of three embryos, leading to the mother's pregnancy.

For Bhateri Devi's 64-year-old husband, Deva Singh, this moment brings immeasurable joy, as he becomes a father at nearly seventy years old. Expressing his elation, he shared, "Bhateri fulfilled my dream of having children and providing our family with an heir. While I had taken a second wife when Bhateri couldn't conceive, I also did not have children with my later wife. I am overjoyed and look forward to giving our children a prosperous and fulfilling life in the future."

This heartwarming story serves as a testament to the power of hope, the wonders of modern medical advancements, and the boundless love and dedication of a couple who persevered on their path to parenthood against all odds.
