A woman from Philadelphia was shocked to find two emaciated bait dogs on her porch, looking like they had been through hell. These dogs are victims of the cruel world of dog fighting and have likely suffered much abuse and torment. Thankfully, they were left on this woman’s property and are now receiving the medical attention and care they so desperately need. The sight of these dogs is heart-wrenching, with them being badly beaten, bleeding, with broken bones, and malnourished. It’s difficult to imagine how anyone could treat animals so poorly.

It’s beyond my understanding how people can be so cruel to animals. Tara spent three hours caring for Sweet Pea and Dizzy before animal control arrived. Fortunately, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC took them in and is now working hard to provide them with medical treatment for their physical injuries and emotional care. Tara later contacted the rescue group to express her gratitude for their wonderful care of the pair. When she fed them, they were starving and dehydrated. Sweet Pea ate more than Dizzy, who was suffering from pain due to living a life in a cramped cage with bent and crooked legs. He struggled to sit and swayed like he might pass out. His eyes shook back and forth from the pain. As soon as animal control took him away, he peed everywhere out of fear. It’s heart-wrenching to see innocent animals suffer, but thankfully, there are kind people and organizations dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating them.

The individuals involved in dog fighting are despicable as they use leashes to force dogs into being bait. This is extremely disturbing and it’s no surprise that the dog in question was terrified. Although it broke my heart, I knew that law enforcement had to investigate, file a report and contact ACCT as per protocol. Initially, I tried reaching out to various rescues and individuals to take them in, but after two hours of waiting with no response, I couldn’t bear to see them suffer anymore. I sat with them, feeling lost and unsure of what to do next. However, I made a promise to them both that I would find a good rescue to save them. Luckily, my prayers were answered when YoU stepped in to help. I frequently called ACCT and Melissa at Channel 10 news to ensure that the dogs were safe and not put down until they were rescued. I even signed up as their sponsor, as I was prepared to take them in if necessary. Words cannot express how grateful I am for everyone’s help. Please keep me updated on their progress and give them my love.

The post on Rescue Dog’s Facebook page has shared some heart-wrenching photos that tell the story of two dogs. These poor creatures have been through so much – they were used and abused, treated horribly by humans, and even made to train other dogs to fight. It’s truly repulsive and we can’t help but feel saddened and brokenhearted by their story.

One of the dogs, Dizzy, is in a lot of pain and can barely move due to the numerous bite wounds covering his body. Sweet pea is also suffering, with a swollen face that looks terrible. Despite her physical appearance, she’s actually in a better mental state than Dizzy. Unfortunately, Dizzy is terrified of humans and cowers when approached – and who can blame him? After everything he’s been through, how could he possibly trust people again?

It’s disappointing that dogs have fallen victim to human failure. The prevalence of dog fighting in modern society is astonishing and raises the question of why it persists. It’s hard to believe such a barbaric practice is still present in our so-called “civilized” world. Sharing the story of these two dogs can serve as a way to inform and raise awareness. Dog fighting is not limited to certain locations; it happens everywhere, and we need to collaborate to put an end to it.
