A House of Love: Their Courageous Efforts in Raising All 16 Babies at Home
Lyette Reback, a mother of 15 children, recently welcomed her 16th child, a handsome baby boy n̵a̵m̵e̵d Vaughn. The birth of Vaughn came as a big surprise to Lyette, especially considering she is an only child and had little contact with children throughout her life.
Lyette and her husband David got married when she was 19, and they had their first child, Daly Kay, a year and a half later. Since then, they have been blessed with fifteen more children, eleven of whom are biological, and four are adopted.
Their family is a mix of nine girls and seven boys, each with unique n̵a̵m̵e̵s like Ryli RaVaye, Shepherd David, and Sojourner Hope. Lyette takes pride in homeschooling all her children, and she shared their daily routine, which involves managing a household akin to running a medium-sized business.
The journey of having 16 children has been both rewarding and challenging for Lyette. She admits that it hasn’t always been easy, and she has shed a few tears over the years. However, she finds strength in prayer and the love she shares with her family.
Lyette’s last pregnancy was particularly difficult due to a hemorrhage. Doctors initially thought she might be having a miscarriage, but miraculously, Vaughn survived and thrived despite the complications. Lyette decided to n̵a̵m̵e̵ him Vaughn in honor of a friend who is a soldier and has the same n̵a̵m̵e̵.
Despite the challenges, the Reback family remains strong and united. Lyette’s dedication to her children and the love they share as a family is evident in their journey together. Each child is cherished and loved, making their home a warm and joyful place.
Lyette’s story is a testament to the power of love and the strength of a mother’s spirit. With their new addition, the Reback family continues to embrace their unique journey, inspiring others to cherish the blessings of family and find joy in the little miracles of life.
