This dog endured a heart-wrenching ordeal when her owner heartlessly abandoned her, and she suffered a tragic accident that crushed her hind legs under a train. Si Bao's existence seemed bleak until she miraculously gave birth to four incredibly beautiful and robust puppies, who became the driving force behind this desolate mother dog's will to survive.
With the joy of motherhood rekindling her spirit, Si Bao found renewed strength and displayed unwavering resilience in caring for her offspring. She adapted to walking on her two front legs, tirelessly watching over her beloved children with a vigilant eye.
Si Bao's fortunes took a positive turn when the nonprofit organization Animals Asia, founded by Jill Robinson, came to the rescue of her family, recognizing the heroic spirit of this mother dog. Consequently, Si Bao and her puppies were rescued and she was appointed as an animal ambassador. Si Bao was relocated to Animals Asia's headquarters, where she could embark on a fresh chapter of life alongside her surviving pup, Muddie. No longer would they have to endure the hardships of scavenging for sustenance from the leftovers discarded by travelers near the train tracks.
Moreover, Si Bao has been renamed Lelly, and she is currently undergoing preparations for the installation of wheeled prosthetic legs to enhance her mobility. Sadly, three out of Lelly's four puppies succumbed to a severe fever before they were discovered by the organization, leaving only Muddie as the surviving pup.
Lelly is currently living the good life as a “Asia animal” ambassador for Animals.
Even though she is just a little dog, Lelly exemplifies an unbreakable character that does not give in to hardship.
